Welcome November!!

Levi has been having a bit of trouble sleeping lately, which means that I don't get as much sleep as I'd like. It's getting frustrating! Then today, I asked the advice of a couple of mothers in the mothers' room at church. Kristie Laxman, sister-in-law of a guy I dated a bit a couple months before I started dating Nathan (ironic, nicht?).

Anyway, she gave me lots of advice. It sounds like very sound advice. She said that they had similar problems with their first child and that it was caused by sleep deprivation. She recommended that we put Levi down an hour earlier - earlier and earlier until there is no longer a problem. She recommends more napping as well. Sounds good. Pray for me this week that we can establish a good schedule for him.

We are still not feeding Levi sweets. I've recently had reason to question such depravation.
I have therefore done some research and the top two findings that support our no-sugar policy are: 1 - refined sugar is not good for a body (it is not a natural substance and the body doesn't know what to do with it, so it just turns it into fat), 2 - Levi is prone to urinary tract infections and sugar makes UTIs (as well as other infections) more likely. (Then, my aunt Margaret who is a nurse congratulated me on our policy and told me that we won't regret it.)

Nater baby is doing well at work. He is working long hours to save up money for the down payment on our house. His back started hurting him again this week, which makes me nervous. I really hope he gets better and does not need to get surgery again.

I am also doing well, with the exception of not being pregnant. I am enjoying sewing, being a wife, and mothering. We are enjoying living with Mom and enjoying the ward we're in. Nathan and I teach a primary class of 5 6-turning-7-this-year old children. One of the boys is the oldest son of a girl (AJ) with whom I graduated highschool. This is a great ward for connections: there are aslo Bodilys and Cannons, to both of whom I'm distantly related.
