I'm back

Nathan and I have now been happily married for 13 months and 1 day. We are comfortably installed in our condo in Murray and expecting a baby boy near the end of June. My mother http://compelledtocraft.blogspot.com/ has made a frog thing to attach nukies to as well as a cupcake hat and mittens for the baby, but the cupcake things will just have to wait for a girl. Nathan's Mom gave us a blanket and two matching burp cloths for Christmas with crocheting around the edges. We have a few items of clothing and accessories collected and are super excited!

We have decided to use a midwife instead of an OB. She is a CNM named Danielle Demeter and we like her very well. I really want to do a water birth because I have only heard good reports about that method from those I know who have had one or more water births. I have also done quite a bit of research on the subject and spoken with some medical care professionals. If everything goes well, I'll deliver in water and report what I think.

Being pregnant is unlike anything I have ever experienced, to say the least. It is wonderful. It is tiring. A couple of my favorite things is that I don't have that-time-of-the-month and my sugar tolerance is very low, so it isn't even tempting to eat much sugar.

Hiya

All is well at the Hansen home (tee-hee!). Nate is still really enjoying his new job at Applied Signal Technology http://www.appsig.com/. He is busy and happy. I am working in the Speech Acquisition Lab this summer earning the rest of the grant money for which I applied in the Spring, but only worked a few of the possible hours. I am also trying to get up-to-date on where all of the young women are in their Personal Progress programs and getting ready for Girls' Camp. We got our Secret Sister assignments on Sunday!
I figured out that I only have to take 4 classes to graduate next Spring, so I am only going to take 2 classes each semester and I am SO EXCITED!!!!
